ESTATE PLANNING ATTORNEY
Estate Planning For Downers Grove and Illinois
Estate Administration includes the collection and valuation of a decedent's assets, the payment and resolution of a decedent's debts, the filing of all necessary tax forms, and the distribution of assets to heirs and beneficiaries.
Probate is a court proceeding required to transfer or administer assets owned solely by a person who is unable to transfer or administer these assets themselves, due to disability or death.
A will is the most well-known, yet often misunderstood, estate planning tool. The purpose of a will is to give the testator (the person executing the will) the ability to make five important decisions.
I am a graduate of Purdue University and IIT Chicago-Kent College of Law. I have focused my entire career on the fields of Estate Planning and Probate. Prior to starting my own practice, I spent 15 years administering trust and estates for three of Chicago’s largest trust departments, giving me an in-depth knowledge of trust and estate law solutions.
I grew up in Oak Park and have been a lifelong resident of suburban Chicago. My wife, Molly, and I are the proud parents of Jack, our adult son who has Autism. Since Jack was diagnosed, we have been active in the Autism community and other local and national organizations supporting special needs children.
My experience, both personal and professional, enables me to ask the right questions, make practical recommendations and provide effective solutions for each client's estate planning and trust administration needs.

Estate Planning & Trust Administration
Estate planning and trust administration are undertakings that involve you, your assets, your family and potentially other individuals and beneficiaries, such as charitable organizations. Estate planning will help you determine how, and by whom, your assets will be managed, and who will make personal and health care decisions if you ever become unable to manage your assets or take care of yourself.
Far more than a document drafter, I provide clients with personal service and effective solutions tailored to their specific needs by listening to each client and offering practical solutions for their estate planning and trust administration. The focus of my practice is Estate Planning and preparing documents which are relevant to your specific needs.
